About NHAI
The National Highways Authority of India is an autonomous agency of the Government of India, set up in 1995 and is responsible for the management of a network of over 50,000 km of National Highways out of 1,32,499 km in India. It is a nodal agency of the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways.

About the Internship
The training will include field experience in the construction of civil engineering works particularly Roads, Bridges, Flyovers, Underpass etc within Assam & Meghalaya. This will have experience in planning, design, construction, and maintenance of National Highways works.The Candidate is required to visit the site and have survey and investigation, quality checks including carrying out the experiment in both laboratories as well as field study the DPRs, estimates, alignments, etc.
The candidate should also visit the green field alignment sections, based on the study reports and traffic, a requirement of cross drainage structures, the requirement of underpasses for ease movement of pedestrian etc. The candidates have also exposure on different regulatory framework such as clearance from other departments namely Railways, IWAI, Forest and Environment.
