- TRAVELING EXPENDITURE: TA may be given to the selected out station participants of the Seminar.
ABOUT THE SEMINAR
The tribes of West Bengal have occupied a large section of the total population of the state and is the abode of numerous tribes with diverse cultural practices. Their language, custom, dress, ornaments, religion, festivals and traditions enriched the culture of the state.
According to 2011 census the Scheduled Tribes comprise of 8.6% (total ST population 104,281,034) of total population of India and in West Bengal it comprises 5.8% (total ST population 5,296,953) of total population. These groups inhabit widely varying ecological and geoclimatic conditions (hilly, forest, valley regions etc.) in different concentration throughout the country with distinct biological isolates along with rich cultural, poor socio-economical background.
The traditional medical practitioner or traditional healer can be defined as “someone who is recognized by the community in which he lives as competent to provide health care by using vegetable, animal and mineral substances and certain other methods based on the social,
cultural and religious backgrounds as well as the prevailing knowledge, attitudes and beliefs regarding physical, mental and social well-being and the causation of disease and disability in the community
CALL FOR PAPERS
Interested participants must submit the abstract (around 300 words) and full paper in .doc/.docx format (Font: Times New Roman, 12 pts.) typed in double space leaving in 1.5 inch margin on left side and 1.25 inch in other sides on A-4 paper through email to criseminar17@gmail.com
The paper should be original one, not submitted /published elsewhere.
