DESCRIPTION:

B-SURE will look into fundamental research problems that are important for the future development and realisation of biomanufacturing capabilities in space. To achieve this, B-SURE will gather information on microbial utilisation of space-based alternative feedstocks, optimization of microbial growth in variable gravities, and mitigation strategies for the effects of Galactic Cosmic Radiation on microbial growth and bioproduction that have been identified.
