Applications are invited for Research Associate & Project Consultant at IIT Roorkee for the year 2022. The last date of application is 25 January.

Applications are invited from Indian nationals only for project position(s) as per the details given below for the consultancy/research project(s) under the Principal investigator Prof. Sanjeev Kumar Dept. of Hydro and Renewable Energy, Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee.

Project details

• Title of project: Selection guidelines for constructed wetland systems for treatment of sewage in India
• Sponsor of the project: NMCG, Ministry of Jal Shakti, Government of India
• Project position(s): (i) Project consultant (01) (ii) Research Associate (02 nos.)

Eligibility

Project consultant

Essential: PhD in Bioscience/ Chemistry/Environmental Science with 20 years of research and supervision experience

Desirable: candidates should have relevant research experience in the area of wastewater treatment, constructed wetlands, water quality as .well as high quality research papers as in reputed journals

Research Associate

Essential: PhD in Environmental Science/Engineering or M. Tech Chemical/Biochemical/Civil/Envifdmeolat Engineering wilh GATE (or equivalent national level examination) qualifications

Desirable: Candidates should have relevant research experience in the area of wastewater treatment, constructed wetlands, water quality as well as high quality research papers as in reputed journals.

Duration

01 year or until the project end date, whichever earlier.

Job description

Collection of data on exiting constructed wetland systems, design and performance, filed work, water quality parameter, laboratory work, report writing.

Salary

• Project consultant: Rs. 75,000/- pm. + HRA
• Research Associate: Rs 30,000 – 75,000 pm +HRA

• Application with detailed CV including chronological discipline of degree/certificates obtained.
• Experience including research, industrial field and others
• Attested copies of degree/certificate and experience certificate.
