Reels2Road – Safe Roads Begin With You is a national-level road safety reel contest 2026 inviting Indian citizens to create short, original videos that promote safe road behaviour.

This competition is organised by the Centre of Excellence for Road Safety (CoERS), IIT Madras, under the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH), in collaboration with MyGov.

Road Safety – Safe Roads Begin With You

Your reel can focus on:

• Wearing helmets and seatbelts
• Avoiding mobile phone use while driving

The message should be clear, positive, and impactful.

Reel Guidelines (Technical Requirements)

Before creating your reel, keep these rules in mind:

• 🎥 Duration: 30 to 90 seconds
• 📱 Format: Vertical video (9:16 ratio)
• 🌐 Platforms: Instagram Reels or YouTube Shorts
• 🗣 Language: English or any regional language (English subtitles required)
• 📝 Description: Minimum 100 words
• 🚫 No watermark allowed
• 📂 Content must be original (no plagiarism or copyright issues)

How to Post Your Reel

You must:

• Upload the reel on your public Instagram or YouTube account
• Collaborate with @coers_iitm
• Tag @morthindia and @iitmadrasofficial
• Submit the public video link on the MyGov portal

Entries without public access will be rejected.

A jury will evaluate entries based on:
