The UNESCO is inviting young people worldwide to participate in a global survey on Youth Mental Health in Times of Crises. Last Date is March 08, 2026.
This consultation is part of the upcoming UNESCO Global Youth Outlook, a major international report that will examine how crises affect youth mental well-being and explore ways to strengthen resilience among young people.
Participation in the survey is voluntary, and no personal details such as name or email address are collected unless participants choose to provide them.

About the UNESCO Global Youth Outlook
UNESCO is preparing its first Global Youth Outlook focused on mental health during times of crisis. The objective is to understand the current state of youth mental well-being, identify emerging global trends, and develop policy recommendations that can support governments in building stronger systems for young people.
The Outlook aims to contribute to evidence-based policies that address youth needs and promote resilience at national and global levels.
Purpose of the Global Survey
The survey is one of three major research methods being used to gather data for the Outlook. It is conducted by UNESCO in collaboration with its contractor Numbers and People Synergy (NAPS) for research purposes.
Responses from young people aged 18 to 35 will be combined to provide a global picture of youth perspectives on mental health and the impact of crises.
The survey includes both mandatory and optional questions.

Important Note on Mental Health Questions
Some questions in the survey relate to personal experiences of mental health. While discussing mental health is important, it can also be sensitive.
Participants may skip any non-mandatory question or withdraw from the survey at any time. If the survey experience feels uncomfortable or distressing, individuals are encouraged to pause or discontinue participation.
If needed, participants should seek support from local health facilities, community mental health organizations, or national helplines available in their country.
For questions regarding the survey or difficulties accessing support, participants can contact:

Is There Any Payment?
Participation in this survey is voluntary and does not include financial compensation or benefits.
Why Participate?
By taking part in this survey, young people contribute directly to a global study that may influence public policy and mental health systems worldwide. The findings will help shape recommendations to better support youth during times of crisis.
If you are between 18 and 35 years old, your perspective can help inform international discussions on youth mental well-being. The last date to complete survey is March 08, 2026.
