About the Contest

The Short Script Writing Contest invites participants to create a screenplay based on the following prompt:

“A woman returns to a place she swore she would never visit again…”

Growing up in a small village, I witnessed how capable young people quietly missed opportunities—not because they lacked talent, but because information never reached them. Experiencing exclusion and unequal access to opportunities myself, I came to believe that no young person should be left behind simply because they never knew an opportunity existed.
