The Asia-Europe Foundation (ASEF) is inviting people from ASEM partner countries to design its 30th Anniversary logo. Participation is free, and the winner will receive a cash prize of SGD 800. Entries must be submitted by September 30, 2026.

About the Asia-Europe Foundation

The Asia-Europe Foundation (ASEF) promotes mutual understanding and cooperation between the peoples of Asia and Europe through cultural, intellectual and people-to-people exchanges.

ASEF was established in 1997 and will celebrate its 30th anniversary in 2027.

About the Competition

To mark its 30th anniversary, ASEF is looking for a special logo reflecting its journey, identity and role in strengthening connections between Asia and Europe.

The winning logo will serve as a key visual for ASEF’s anniversary celebrations throughout 2027. It may appear in anniversary-related communications, publications, events and promotional materials.

Eligibility Criteria

  • The competition is open to people from ASEM partner countries.
  • Applicants from India are eligible because India is an ASEM partner.
  • Participation is free.
  • People below 18 years may participate after obtaining consent from a parent or legal guardian.
  • The announcement does not specify any educational qualification, professional experience or upper age limit.

Theme

Participants must design a logo celebrating the 30th Anniversary of the Asia-Europe Foundation.

The design should:

  • Reflect the significance of ASEF’s 30th anniversary.

What to Submit?

Each submission should contain:

  • The proposed ASEF 30th Anniversary logo.
  • A short explanation of the design concept.
  • The participant’s full name.
  • Country and contact details.
  • A high-resolution copy of the logo.

Technical Requirements

According to the competition terms:

  • The artwork should be submitted in EPS format or as a high-resolution PDF or PNG.
  • PDF and PNG entries should have a resolution of 300 dpi.
  • The terms state that the file must not exceed 20 MB.
  • The online form displays JPG, JPEG, PDF and PNG as supported formats and shows a maximum upload size of 10 MB.

Because the form and terms mention different limits, applicants should preferably submit a PDF or PNG at 300 dpi below 10 MB. This meets the stricter visible upload limit while complying with the formats mentioned in the rules.

Originality Rules

  • The logo and design proposal must be the participant’s original work.
  • Plagiarism is not permitted.
  • Copyrighted content or artwork belonging to another creator must not be used.
  • The entry must be relevant to the anniversary theme.

Selection Criteria

Entries will be evaluated on:

  • Originality and strength of the concept.
  • Relevance to ASEF’s 30th anniversary.
  • Visual quality.
  • Suitability for different communication materials.
  • Adaptability across digital and print uses.

The selected winner will be contacted by ASEF through email.

Copyright and Usage Rights

Copyright and ownership of non-selected entries will remain with their creators. ASEF states that it will not use non-selected designs for communication or promotional purposes without the creator’s permission.

The winner will grant ASEF a non-exclusive, royalty-free and transferable right to use, reproduce, publish, display, print, edit and distribute the winning artwork across different formats and channels.

The winner must also permit ASEF to use the design on its covers, website and promotional materials.

Applicants should read these terms carefully before submitting their work.

  • First and last name.
  • Country of residence.
  • Country of citizenship.
