Project LOUD is inviting original art, poetry, photography, designs and other creative works for A Thousand Reasons to Stay—a collective archive highlighting hope, comfort, connection and the things that help people through difficult days. Submissions close on September 18, 2026.

About Project LOUD

Project LOUD is a youth-led, nonprofit and community-driven mental-health initiative based in Lalitpur, Nepal.

It works to promote mental well-being, encourage open conversations and build supportive communities through educational programmes, peer-support initiatives and digital advocacy.

About the Campaign

A Thousand Reasons to Stay is a collective archive of creative works centred on hope.

Participants are invited to create something inspired by a person, book, quotation, memory, experience or idea that has brought them comfort, encouragement or something positive to anticipate.

Artists may also create posters based on the campaign’s key messages available through Project LOUD’s previous social-media posts.

Eligible Art Forms

Submissions may include:

  • Drawings and sketches
  • Handmade artwork
  • Digital illustrations and designs
  • Posters
  • Poetry
  • Photography
  • A meaningful word or quotation
  • Other original forms of creative expression

Eligibility Criteria

The call is open to people interested in contributing original, hope-centred creative work.

No age limit, geographical restriction or experience requirement has been specified.

Benefits

Selected submissions may become part of Project LOUD’s collective archive of hope.

With the creator’s permission, Project LOUD may also:

  • Feature the work on its social-media platforms.
  • Credit the creator using their preferred name or social-media handle.
  • Use the work to communicate the campaign’s messages to a wider audience.

No cash prize, payment or participation certificate has been announced.
