The Forest Department, Government of Uttar Pradesh, has launched the Harit Sarthi Campaign 2026 under the 76th Van Mahotsav and Vriksharopan Mahayagya as part of the 'Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam' initiative. Citizens, students, educational institutions, NGOs, and youth are invited to participate through multiple activities, including an online quiz, sapling photo challenge, environmental pledge, ambassador programme, and awareness campaign.

About the Harit Sarthi Campaign

The Harit Sarthi Campaign 2026 is a public participation initiative being organised by the Forest Department, Government of Uttar Pradesh, in collaboration with Climate Par Charcha, to encourage people to actively contribute to environmental conservation.

The campaign forms part of the 76th Van Mahotsav and Vriksharopan Mahayagya 2026 under the nationwide 'Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam' initiative. Through a range of online and on-ground activities, the campaign aims to transform tree plantation and environmental action into a true Jan Andolan (People's Movement) across Uttar Pradesh.

Only participants who score full marks in the quiz will receive a Digital Certificate.

Institution Participation

Schools, colleges, universities, NGOs, and organisations are encouraged to mobilise 250 or more participants.

Participants should mention their institution's name in the "Referred By" section while submitting the quiz.

Institutions with outstanding participation will receive a Digital Appreciation Certificate, while eligible participants will receive individual digital certificates upon achieving full marks.

The Harit Sarthi Sapling Challenge invites participants to share photographs showcasing their environmental contributions.

Participants may submit photographs of activities such as:

• Seed ball distribution
• Environmental awareness campaigns
