Harit Sarthi Campaign 2026: Join Quiz, Sapling Challenge, Ambassador & Pledge

Looking for an opportunity to contribute to environmental conservation while earning recognition? The Forest Department, Government of Uttar Pradesh, has launched the Harit Sarthi Campaign 2026 under the 76th Van Mahotsav and Vriksharopan Mahayagya as part of the 'Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam' initiative. Citizens, students, educational institutions, NGOs, and youth are invited to participate through multiple activities, including an online quiz, sapling photo challenge, environmental pledge, ambassador programme, and awareness campaign.

About the Harit Sarthi Campaign

The Harit Sarthi Campaign 2026 is a public participation initiative being organised by the Forest Department, Government of Uttar Pradesh, in collaboration with Climate Par Charcha, to encourage people to actively contribute to environmental conservation.

The campaign forms part of the 76th Van Mahotsav and Vriksharopan Mahayagya 2026 under the nationwide 'Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam' initiative. Through a range of online and on-ground activities, the campaign aims to transform tree plantation and environmental action into a true Jan Andolan (People's Movement) across Uttar Pradesh.

Whether you are a student, teacher, youth volunteer, institution, or simply someone who cares about nature, there are multiple ways to become a Harit Sarthi.


Opportunities Under the Harit Sarthi Campaign

Participants can take part in one or more of the following initiatives:

Each activity encourages citizens to learn, act, inspire others, and strengthen public participation in protecting the environment.

Harit Sarthi Quiz

The online Harit Sarthi Quiz tests participants' awareness of environmental conservation and the campaign's objectives.

Certificate

Only participants who score full marks in the quiz will receive a Digital Certificate.

Institution Participation

Schools, colleges, universities, NGOs, and organisations are encouraged to mobilise 250 or more participants.

Participants should mention their institution's name in the "Referred By" section while submitting the quiz.

Institutions with outstanding participation will receive a Digital Appreciation Certificate, while eligible participants will receive individual digital certificates upon achieving full marks.

Harit Sarthi Sapling Challenge

The Harit Sarthi Sapling Challenge invites participants to share photographs showcasing their environmental contributions.

Participants may submit photographs of activities such as:

  • Planting saplings
  • Organising plantation drives
  • Participating in Sapling Bhandaras
  • Receiving or distributing saplings
  • Seed ball distribution
  • Environmental awareness campaigns
  • Other climate-positive initiatives

The challenge aims to inspire more people to take action and strengthen the Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam movement across Uttar Pradesh.
