About the Positions

Salary

• Designer: $70,500 annually—approximately ₹67.40 lakh per year or ₹5.62 lakh per month
• Senior Designer: $77,500 annually—approximately ₹74.10 lakh per year or ₹6.17 lakh per month

Key Responsibilities

Selected candidates will:

• Develop young-adult book covers with art directors, publishers and editors.
• Create covers and sales materials from concept to print-ready PDF.
• Research illustrators, photographers, designers, typography and stock images.
• Present samples and pitch design concepts in meetings.
• Art-direct illustrators, photographers and freelance designers.
• Prepare jacket and cover mechanicals according to printing standards.
• Manage approvals and production deadlines.
• Follow—and help shape—young-adult cover-design trends.
• Ensure culturally sensitive and authentic representation.
• Support art directors and other designers when required.

Eligibility

Applicants must have:

• At least four years of experience in publishing or editorial design.
• Strong knowledge of Adobe InDesign and Photoshop.
• Basic knowledge of Adobe Illustrator and Acrobat.
• A portfolio demonstrating creative book-cover design and typography.
• Strong organisation and time-management abilities.
• Attention to detail, design quality and production processes.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively on multiple projects.
• A strong interest in young-adult books.

No specific university degree is required in the available job description.
