Youth Ambassador Programme 2026 (Free, Online): Apply by January 13

The Youth Ambassador Programme 2026 is a free, global online opportunity for young people aged 13 to 19 years who want to create real social impact. The programme supports students and young changemakers in building projects aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). This programme focuses on learning, collaboration, confidence-building, and global youth leadership.

About the Organisers

The programme is delivered by HundrED, a globally respected organisation that identifies and supports innovative education and youth-led initiatives. It is conducted in partnership with the International Baccalaureate (IB) and the Festival of Hope, both known for promoting education, empathy, and positive social change worldwide.

Together, these organisations aim to create a safe, inclusive, and inspiring online space for young people to use their voices and ideas for good.

What Is the Youth Ambassador Programme?

The Youth Ambassador Programme is a three-month online programme designed to help young people turn their ideas into meaningful social impact projects. Participants learn through online workshops, webinars, discussions, and mentorship opportunities.

Youth Ambassadors collaborate with peers from different countries, explore global challenges, and work on ideas that address real-world issues such as climate action, education, equality, health, and community wellbeing.

The programme also provides access to a dedicated online learning platform (MOOC) and a closed Discord community, allowing participants to connect, share ideas, and support one another throughout the journey.

Why Should You Apply?

As a Youth Ambassador, you become part of a global community of motivated young changemakers. The programme helps you gain confidence, develop leadership skills, and understand how social impact projects work in the real world.

Participants learn how to shape ideas, adapt when things do not go as planned, and stay resilient. You also gain a deeper understanding of the SDGs and see inspiring examples of young people making a difference across the world.

  • Between 13 and 19 years old during the programme
  • Interested in social impact, leadership, or community change
  • Able to communicate in English

You do not need to be an IB student. The programme is open to all eligible young people.

Programme Timeline

The next cohort runs from March 1 to May 31, 2026.
Applications are open from December 18, 2025, and the last date to apply is January 13, 2026 (23:59 GMT).

How to Apply

To apply, students need to visit the application link and create a free account on the HundrED platform. As part of the application, you will be asked to submit a short pre-recorded video introducing yourself and your interest in the programme.

Applications must be submitted individually. Parents, teachers, or schools cannot apply on behalf of a student.

Mode of the Programme

The Youth Ambassador Programme is fully online. There is no travel involved. Sessions take place through online platforms, mainly Discord and the programme’s learning portal.

Participants from countries where Discord is restricted can still take part through the learning platform, email updates, and recorded sessions.

Time Commitment

There is no fixed number of hours required. However, to gain the most value, participants are encouraged to spend around one hour per week attending sessions, joining discussions, or engaging with the community. Those working on personal projects may choose to spend additional time based on their interest.

Certificate and Outcomes
