Applications are invited for the Internship Programme at the Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR). This internship offers students and young researchers an opportunity to gain exposure to India’s cultural diplomacy, international relations, and soft power initiatives.
Selected interns will be placed at Azad Bhavan for a maximum period of four months. Interns will receive a monthly honorarium of ₹10,000 along with one-time travel support.
About ICCR Internship
The ICCR Internship Programme aims to engage young minds with strong academic backgrounds in policy research and cultural diplomacy. Interns will work across different divisions and contribute to research, cultural mapping, creative writing, and social media initiatives.
The internship also includes interaction with senior officials including Director General and heads of divisions, offering exposure to India's cultural diplomacy framework.

Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must be Indian citizens with a maximum age of 25 years as on 31 December of the internship year. Candidates must hold a graduation degree from a recognized university.
Students from the following fields are eligible to apply:
- Humanities
- Mass Communication
- Journalism
- Designing
- Anthropology
- History
- Art & Fine Arts
- Archaeology
- Science
- Languages
- Museology
Postgraduate students, research scholars, and foreign language students are also eligible. Preference may be given to candidates with background in International Relations and cultural diplomacy.
Roles and Responsibilities
Interns will assist ICCR divisions in research, report writing, policy analysis, and cultural diplomacy initiatives. At the end of the internship, interns must submit a detailed report and may also present their work.
The internship provides hands-on exposure to India's cultural diplomacy and international cultural relations.
Stipend and Benefits
Selected interns will receive ₹10,000 per month as honorarium. One-time to and fro airfare from domicile state or university to Delhi will also be provided.
Interns will also receive a certificate upon successful completion of the internship.
Selection Process
Applications will be screened by a selection committee. Shortlisted candidates will be called for personal interview via video conferencing. Final selection will be based on academic merit and interview performance.
