The Made in India Product I Love Photo Story Contest 2026 by DPIIT & MyGov [Selected Entries to be Featured]: Submit by Oct 5

The Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), in collaboration with MyGov, is inviting Indian citizens to submit a photograph and a 100–150-word personal story about a Made in India product they love. Selected entries may be featured on the official digital platforms of Make in India and MyGov.

About DPIIT

The Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) functions under the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India. It supports industrial development, investment, startups, innovation, internal trade and ease of doing business in India.

About MyGov

MyGov is the Government of India’s citizen-engagement platform. It enables citizens to participate in government campaigns through contests, quizzes, surveys, discussions and creative activities.

About the Contest

The contest is being conducted under the 12 Years of Make in India campaign.

Participants must identify a genuine Made in India product that they use, value or associate with a personal memory. They must upload one clear photograph of the product and explain why it holds a special place in their life.

The activity aims to celebrate Indian manufacturing, entrepreneurship and home-grown innovation through citizens’ everyday experiences.

Theme

The campaign theme is:

“Made in India is more than a label. It is part of our everyday lives, memories and experiences.”

The submission prompt is:

What is the Made in India product you love, and what makes it special to you?

Eligibility Criteria

  • The contest is open to all citizens of India.
  • No age limit or educational qualification has been specified.
  • Participants must register or log in through the MyGov portal.
  • MyGov profile details must be complete.
  • The entry must be submitted directly by the participant.
  • Impersonation, double participation or other unfair practices may lead to rejection.

What to Submit?

Each participant must submit:

  • One clear photograph of a genuine Made in India product
  • A personal story of 100–150 words
  • An explanation of why the product is special and how it connects with the participant’s life

The selected product may belong to any category, including:

  • Automobiles
  • Electronics
  • Textiles
  • Handicrafts
  • Food products
  • Toys
  • Household products
  • Consumer goods
  • Machinery
  • Other manufactured products

Submission Guidelines

  • The write-up must contain strictly 100–150 words.
  • The submission must include one clear photograph of the product.
  • The photograph and story must be original and unpublished.
  • The entry must be based on the participant’s personal experience.
  • The featured product must be genuinely made in India.
  • The submission must not infringe another person’s copyright, trademark or intellectual-property rights.
  • AI-generated entries will not be accepted.
  • Plagiarised, misleading, offensive or unlawful content is prohibited.
  • Entries containing provocative, objectionable, defamatory, discriminatory or inappropriate material may be rejected.
  • Incomplete or incorrectly formatted entries may not be considered.
  • The official campaign hashtag is #MakeInnovateScale.

Recognition

There is no cash prize or monetary gratification for this activity.

Selected photo stories may be featured on the official websites, digital platforms or social-media handles of:

  • Make in India
  • MyGov
  • DPIIT, where applicable

Being featured is subject to applicable permissions and MyGov’s terms.

Important Intellectual-Property Condition

According to the official terms, a selected entry will become the exclusive intellectual property of DPIIT.

Participants should read this provision carefully before submitting. It goes beyond granting permission to display the work and may give DPIIT exclusive control over a selected photograph and accompanying story.

Selection Process

Eligible entries may be examined by a Screening Committee. Its decision will be final and cannot be challenged.

Proof of submission does not necessarily constitute proof that the entry was successfully received. Participants should complete the submission carefully and retain any acknowledgement available on MyGov.

How to Participate?

  1. Open the official contest page on MyGov.
  2. Register or log in to your MyGov account.
  3. Ensure that your profile details are complete.
  4. Choose a genuine Made in India product with which you have a personal connection.
  5. Take or select one original and clear photograph of the product.
  6. Write a personal story of 100–150 words.
  7. Upload the photograph and story through the MyGov Creative Corner.
  8. Check that the entry has been submitted successfully.

Important Dates

  • Contest opens: September 25, 2026, at 12:00 PM IST
  • Submission deadline: October 5, 2026, at 11:45 PM IST

Entries submitted after the deadline may not be considered.
