Applications are invited for Post-Doctoral Fellow (Civil Engineering) at IIT Gandhinagar for the year 2021. The last date of application is 20 December.

IIT Gandhinagar (IITGN) invites applications for the position of post-doctoral researcher in an ongoing interdisciplinary project on Risk and Resilience Assessment of Networked Infrastructure Systems Subject to Hydrometeorological Extremes.

Eligibility

Essential Qualification: Ph.D. in Civil Engineering or related fields.

Preferred Skills: The prospective candidate is expected to have a strong background in hydrological and hydraulic modeling, and data analytics The candidates are expected to have strong analytical skills in statistics, flood and hydraulic modeling, and should have experience in working with spatiotemporal datasets.

The candidates must possess strong writing and computational skills. As a postdoctoral researcher, the candidate is also expected to collaborate with other team members on long and short-term projects for a variety of organizations within India and worldwide.

These projects include both basic and applied research on cutting-edge issues and applied decision support related to the risk and resilience of critical infrastructure systems.

Remuneration

Rs. 50,000 + 10,000 (HRA: If on-campus accommodation not available)

Candidates who are nearing completion of their PhDs can also apply. However, if selected, they should have submitted their thesis and should be available to join by January 5, 2022.
